FreshiN is a compact, window-mounted air purification solution designed for individuals living in densely populated urban areas and small rented spaces. Utilising a material called Ag-NanoWire, renowned for its particle filtering capabilities, this innovative concept effectively combats air pollution in large cities.

Context
Air pollution is a major issue for young people in big cities, especially those living in small, rented apartments. They often open windows for ventilation, which unfortunately increases their exposure to pollutants. This situation highlights the need for an effective solution that balances ventilation with air purification.

Concept
FreshiN offers a compact, window-mounted filter designed for PM2.5 particles, featuring easy installation and maintenance. Its provides an affordable and space-saving air purification solution, allowing users to keep their windows open for ventilation while ensuring the air remains clean.

Process
The design exploration began with the Ag-NanoWire material, known for its effective particle filtering capabilities. This material’s performance was thoroughly validated through various air pollution tests. Based on user feedback, the window-mounted concepts were iteratively refined.
